Then we advance your fitness plan as needed to help you achieve your fitness goals. Our experts guide you along the way and provide constant monitoring and feedback to ensure results and success.

Corrective Exercise

We use corrective exercise because most everyone has some kind of structural abnormality whether they feel pain from it or not. These abnormalities create imbalances and when left unchecked they can develop into pain or contribute to injury. And those who are in pain have poor mobility, stability, and tissue quality. This pain is because they simply do not move well. At trUbalance we identify these core imbalances early and provide detailed instruction on how to correct the imbalances to either prevent future issues or stop the pain you are experiencing now.

Our lifestyles are largely to blame for these imbalances. More and more people work in offices and have longer work hours, use more technology and are required to move less on a daily basis. This produces more inactivity that leads to dysfunction and increased incidents of injury including low-back pain, knee injuries and other musculoskeletal injuries. Poor posture and repetitive movements create dysfunction within the connective tissue of your body too. It is often that we overlook these core body issues because they are so repetitive in nature (how you sit, drive, turn your feet, open a door, and any other daily activity). Our trainers will watch you perform a series of basic movements to help identify your body imbalances, which typically stem from everyday routine. Then we develop the first phase of your fitness plan and progress your plan as your strength is enhanced.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a safe and effective way to apply pressure to the connective muscle tissue to eliminate pain and restore motion. When your tissue becomes restricted due to abnormal structural issues, injury, inflammation, poor posture, repetitive movement, etc., pain can develop. Myo-facial tissue is responsible for connecting and supporting your muscles. So you can see how this restriction in muscle and joint movements can contribute to widespread pain.

Myofascial release is similar to a deep tissue massage. Our therapists will locate the areas that feel stiff and fixed, and then use manual pressure and stretching to loosen up the fascia and the restricted movement leading indirectly to reduced pain.

Private Gym Setting

Many people feel overwhelmed, embarrassed, and unimportant when going to the gym. We want to provide our members with an alternative to large fitness centers and instead offer a private gym atmosphere with a focus on quality over quantity.

Working one-on-one with our clients in our private setting helps to make them feel empowered and comfortable knowing we are there to help them and educate them every step of the way.

Our goal is to make a real impact on our clients that are serious about living healthier. So our gym is only available to our members. In our gym we also have a functional movement room that we use for our myofascial release sessions. Our members are able to book fitness sessions or book the myofascial release therapy in the functional movement room as part of their membership.
