Skin

If you are just treating the skin from the outside-in, you are using a Band-Aid.

Your skin is your indicator of your general health

What is your skin issue(s)? Acne, rosacea, psoriasis, dry, oily, wrinkled? We are always aiming for balance here no matter the skin issues. Numerous factors could be contributing to your skin issues. Stress increases oil production in the skin. Changes in hormones (cortisol/stress hormone, sex hormones, and thyroid) directly impacts skin function and appearance. Inflammation can increase redness. Dehydration can cause a lackluster, more wrinkled appearance.

So yes, your largest organ in your body is giving you signals about your health. Are you listening?

The type of lab work I order is used to identify imbalances in your body that are root causes of your symptoms.

Food Sensitivity Testing – This discovers which specific foods are creating an inflammatory response in your body.

Hormone Testing – This will let us know if elevated testosterone levels or other hormone imbalances are the cause of your acne.

Adrenal Testing – This will let us know if stress is contributing to your skin issues.

GI MAP Testing – This will determine if your gut bacteria is unbalanced creating a leaky gut, toxin build up, and inflammatory responses.

Micronutrient Testing – This will determine what nutrient deficiencies could be contributing to your skin issues.
